The second in our 'Conversations in Music' jazz duo Spring series with Ben Shankland on piano performing alongside Harben Kay on tenor sax.
Ben Shankland presents a series of duo performances with some of his favourite collaborators. Each concert will be a meeting of minds, with the two musicians coming together to explore a range of songbook classics, tunes from the wider jazz canon, and their own original compositions.
Winner of BBC Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year, Ben Shankland has brought his music to audiences at top festivals and venues. His music shows clear

Harben Kay - Saxophonist Harben Kay is one of the UK’s most creative jazz artists, with two critically acclaimed albums and performances at prestigious venues including legendary jazz club Ronnie Scott’s and The Royal Albert Hall in London. They have featured in a wide variety of other bands and alongside some of the UK’s finest jazz talents, including Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, EuroRadio Jazz Orchestra, Ryan Quigley, Zoe Rahman, Yazz Ahmed, Sean Gibbs and Seonaid Aitken.
